Flood

Water damage can be caused by a number of things, including blocked drains, frozen or cracked water lines, sewer back ups or heavy rain. Whatever the extent of the damage, Titan is ready to help with an expert hand.

Safety always comes first. Our emergency water damage initial response involves an window of opportunity to salvage and dry any items that may have been affected or contaminated. The area must be treated as soon as possible to prevent further damage from contamination or microbial growth.

Flood Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some things you may want to consider if your property has experienced a flood or water damage:

  • Treat all items that have been affected by the flooded water as toxic until properly decontaminated
  • Avoid operating televisions, vacuums, or other appliances on or near your wet carpets or floors
  • Avoid the flooded area and keep children and pets away
  • Ventilate wet areas to accelerate the drying process
  • Allow your project manager to begin their process as soon as possible

HOW LONG WILL THE FLOOD RESTORATION PROCESS TAKE?

Based on the severity of the damage, the amount of time it will take to complete the restoration really depends on each project. We’ll work as fast as we can to restore your property, but we want to make sure everything is completely dry before beginning reconstruction. Once we have a clear idea of how long it may take, you’ll be the first to know.

CAN I STILL LIVE AT HOME DURING THE PROCESS?

Generally your home is safe as long as we can secure and sanitize the affected area and begin drying. However, each flood is different. If there is any cause for safety concern, we will let you know. Since drying is such an important process, we use industrial strength driers that, while very efficient, can be noisy and will be left on for several days.

WHAT ABOUT MY BELONGINGS?

Part of our restoration process includes listing all of the items that are permanently affected and will need to be replaced (your insurance company will call this a “Schedule of Loss”). If there are items that we can clean or repair, we’ll bring them back to our shop for restoration. If you need any of your items while we’re storing, drying or cleaning them, your project manager will put you in touch with our shop supervisor who can help you access anything you need.
