Water damage can be caused by a number of things, including blocked drains, frozen or cracked water lines, sewer back ups or heavy rain. Whatever the extent of the damage, Titan is ready to help with an expert hand.
Safety always comes first. Our emergency water damage initial response involves an window of opportunity to salvage and dry any items that may have been affected or contaminated. The area must be treated as soon as possible to prevent further damage from contamination or microbial growth.
Here are some things you may want to consider if your property has experienced a flood or water damage:
- Treat all items that have been affected by the flooded water as toxic until properly decontaminated
- Avoid operating televisions, vacuums, or other appliances on or near your wet carpets or floors
- Avoid the flooded area and keep children and pets away
- Ventilate wet areas to accelerate the drying process
- Allow your project manager to begin their process as soon as possible
Smoke gets into places you can’t even imagine.
Property damage due to fire tends to involve cleaning contents. Even the smallest fire produces not only flames but also smoke that can have far-reaching effects throughout the rest of your property. In many cases, there may also be water damage from extinguishing a fire. Don’t worry we’re ready for this!
Smoke reaches into everything – from furniture upholstery and clothing, to flooring and drywall. Our goal is to remove any hint that there was ever a fire, including the smell.
We’re extremely thorough and detailed with every item that could be affected.
Now, let’s walk through some of the specifics.
Building/Structure
DRY – Dry areas that are damp from extinguishing the fire
ELIMINATE – Remove all affected structural components and interior finishings (drywall, flooring, sub-floors)
CLEAN – Clean the structure with special chemicals and tools designed for smoke and fire damage
FILTER – Install HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absorbing) filters to ensure air quality
SEAL – Apply “smoke seal” onto affected structural components
RECONSTRUCT – Follow our standard Scope, Estimation, Approval, Materials selection, and Construction process
Contents
RESTORE – Salvageable, affected property is brought back to Titan Construction for deodorization and restoration
DEODORIZE – Items are placed in our ozone room for several days, clothing is sent to a specialized dry cleaner, and furniture is sent to a refinishing specialist deodorize
LIST – Property that is not salvageable will be recorded and photographed for your “Schedule of Loss” to be submitted to your insurance company
STORE – Once contents are clean, Titan will pack and store them until your property restoration is complete
Vandalism, Break & Enter (B & E)
Our first priority in a B & E is to secure your property. If there is damage to a door or window, we’ll order a replacement and temporarily repair or seal the opening. We’ll also clean up debris and make the premises safe.
Did you know the majority of Break & Enters occur through the front door?
Vehicle Impact
With our extensive experience, we are prepared to quickly and professionally repair your property. If your home or business has been affected by a vehicle impact, we’ll secure the location, tape off and clean up the area, and then begin the estimation and restoration process.
Wind, Hail & Exterior Damage
Titan has seen first-hand damage that severe weather can cause. Your project manager will assess the damage to your property, make temporary repairs, and begin our estimation and reconstruction process.
